The Sounds of Summer Concert Series will take place on Thursdays, June - August from 7-8:30 p.m. in Harmony Park, in downtown Arlington Heights. The 2026 lineup has not yet been announced, but here are a few FAQs to get our wheels turning towards summer!
Where can I park?
The Village offers 10 parking lots, including several parking garages, all within a few minutes walk from Harmony Park. Sounds of Summer concerts draw large crowds and the Vail Street garage can fill up, but you can park and walk from nearby neighborhood streets.
Am I allowed to bring alcohol?
Alcohol is not allowed in Harmony Park. Alcohol purchased from local restaurants must be consumed within that restaurant's limits.
Can I bring food?
Yes! You can bring food to enjoy or you can order food from a nearby restaurant!
Are dogs allowed in Harmony Park?
Dogs are not allowed in Harmony Park. Due to crowds and loud sound, the Village asks that you please keep your pets at home, to help keep everyone safe.
What items can I set up in Harmony Park?

What items can I set up in Harmony Park?
- No Tents
- We ask that you please refrain from using tents or other items that can block the view of those behind you. (Not including standard chairs.)
- No Staking Into the Ground
When setting up your items, do NOT stake into the ground. Doing so can damage the underground irrigation system, leading to costly fixes that require parts of the park to be blocked off.
Sounds of Summer is a rain or shine event. It will only be cancelled if there is a strong chance of thunderstorms or potentially dangerous storms including wind, however light rain will not cause cancellation. Weather will be monitored by Village staff and updates will be posted on our Facebook Page.
When can I save seats for a Sounds of Summer concert?
Saving of seats with blankets may begin as early as 2 p.m., however items placed prior to 2 p.m. will be removed. This is to allow Public Works access to Harmony Park in order to perform maintenance, and to allow for the safe delivery of the stage & sound production equipment.
The Summer Concert Series is a beloved community tradition and a great way to enjoy the community. We hope to see you there!
